Tiggers started in October 2004 with 8 children aged 6-11 and 1 qualified Coach

• By Christmas there were 24 children aged between 2-16 getting to bounce

• By Christmas we had a committee, a constitution, aims and objectives and a vision

• Our first 2 volunteers joined us in January when our newsletter was published & membership introduced

• By mid February we had two further qualified coaches and some 'behind the scenes' volunteers

• Before Easter we piloted soft play, the bouncy castle, the sensory room and 'face pictures'

• Rossendale Tiggers started, offering 8 places to children in East Lancashire

• After Easter we added another 8 places and altered the sessions to reduce 'waiting time'

Did you know!

We now have

• 50+ members/ 30 volunteers, funding to train 3 more coaches & 32 places being used by 50+ Tiggers to 'bounce'!

• A training programme with 7 topics offering 100+ places for volunteers and parents

• The support of Blackpool Leisure Services

• A coach upskilling programme with the support of a Club Coach

We have planned

• A Tiggers experience for ASD kids on the Northern Stars Playscheme

• A music therapy initiative in Blackpool and Fleetwood commencing during next term

• An open "fun day⁷ taster in September, free to all, supported by Northern Stars

• New groups including venues in Fleetwood and Lancaster

• New sessions to extend the opportunity for 16-19 and 19 - 25 year olds
