Nominate Blackpool Tiggers
The RBS Community Fund aims to support local charities and projects.
From July 2010, you can nominate charities and projects which are making a big difference in your local community. All eligible nominations will be reviewed by panels made up of staff, local people and community leaders, who will decide on a shortlist of three for each local area.
In October you can vote for the charity or project which deserves to benefit most from the Community Fund. The results of the voting will be announced in November and the winning charity or project from each local area will receive £3,000, with the two runners up receiving £1,000 each.

Autism Radio is coming
AUTISM RADIO STATION PREPARES FOR LAUNCH By Natalie Bowen, Community Newswire. VOLUNTEER Radio Staffordshire, 11 Aug 2010.
Staffordshire is set to become home to the UK's first radio station run by people with autism.
Autism Radio UK will launch in early September after its founder Kevin Healey received an £8,000 grant from the Staffordshire Cares: Community Wellbeing Fund and £5,000 from the national Access to Volunteering fund.
The online station, run by Staffordshire Adult Autistic Society (SAAS), will broadcast 200 shows during the next year, presented by six DJs with autism and Asperger's syndrome.
Mr Healey, chair of SAAS, said: "This project is really going to benefit hundreds of people with autism who feel isolated in Staffordshire.
"People will be able to tune in globally, so it will help break down barriers and improve communication skills, confidence, self esteem, training, learning, new volunteer opportunities and much more.
"They will be gaining new skills in radio and the media, which will hopefully lead into employment."
Broadcasts are planned to include live music, phone-ins and interviews with parents, carers and professionals about important topics for people with autism in the community.
Support for the station has already built up through social networking websites Facebook and Twitter, with many people offering themselves for interview when the station goes live on www.autismradiouk.co.uk <http://www.autismradiouk.co.uk>.
Shelley Davis, from the Staffordshire Cares: Community Wellbeing Fund, said: "The grant will be used to develop an online radio station and give the volunteers new skills to support the online radio broadcasts.
"It will also help volunteers develop their social skills and networks in the community."
SAAS provides information and support to people with autism in Staffordshire. For more details go to www.saas.uk.com <http://www.saas.uk.com>.
Change of Address
As you may be aware Tiggers has a new office as of July 2010 at;
Blackpool Tiggers
29 St Annes Road
Blackpool
Lancashire
FY4 2AP
New Phone number: 01253 365734.
Near Palatine Sports College. Some of our events will be held here and all trips out will leave from the office and return to the office.
This means we no longer have a car park but have decided that the front of the office can be used as a drop off and pick up point. Parking will also be available at Palatine Sports College on their school car park (out of school hours only).
The map on the page 6 of the Week 1 holiday guideshows the location of the new office and car park available for Tiggers users.
If you require any further assistance with this, then please contact the office on 01253 365734.
Whilst we have moved into the new office it is still far from finished—there is still plenty to do and we need to equip it. If you have a few hours to spare please contact Sheila who will be able to find you something to do! Do you have any old cups, saucers and other kitchen equipment, tables, chairs, plants, outdoor toys and other items you think will be of interest? Please let us know.
Anything you can donate or help with will be much appreciated. Thank you from Sheila, Karl, Jonathan and the office team.
