Preston Tiggers

Thanks to tigger parents Angela Tuffy, Eric Linford and other parents taking a leading role, Preston Tiggers is likely to have a sustainable future.

Philipa Kelsey an experienced volunteer for Blackpool Tiggers is the lead Play Volunteer at Preston, putting to good use the training (Play Therapy Workshop) she received whilst at Blackpool Tiggers. Deborah Thompson , one of the volunteers will bring her experience of working with children with special needs to the soft play.

Parker Street is as shown on the map below. The map can be scrolled and resized in-situ but if you aren't clear as to where it is here is some help.

Basically the centre is on the corner of Parker Street and Eldon Street.

There are 4 routes depending where you come from;

FROM KIRKHAM

If you come from the Kirkham direction follow the signs for the football ground, not the docks.

Continue for quite some time on Blackpool Road through several sets of lights past Boots.

Just past the canal bridge there is a straight stretch with a Peugot dealer.

There are some lights just before a railway bridge that slopes sharply upwards.

Turn right here into Inkerman Street, pass Roebuck School and second right into Eldon Street. Parker Street is the next junction. The centre is at the junction of Eldon and Parker Street.

FROM THE M55 AT BROUGHTON

If you come off the M55 at Broughton you'd drive down the A6 into Preston for just over a mile. Past the Black Bull/hospital crossroads and pass through more lights closely followed by another set 100yds on.

This is Blackpool Road so turn right and follow the road up and over the railway bridge to the lights at the junction of Inkerman Street, turn left as shown on the map and explained above.

FROM THE M6 JUNCTION 31

If you came off the M6 at junction 31, Samlesbury, you'd go into Preston on the A59. At the top of the steep hill there is a roundabout, turn right onto Blackpool Road. Drive past Deepdale Retail Centre(on the right) and the football ground on the left and through several sets of lights.

Then up and over a railway bridge to some lights. There you turn left into Inkerman Street which is on the map. Roebuck School is on the right, turn second right into Eldon Street and its the next street junction with Parker Street.

FROM THE SOUTH OF PRESTON

Drive north through Preston you are bound to cross Blackpool Road at some point. Then follow one of the other routes above. Alternatively you can wind your way from the docks or Ringway into Parker Street from the map linked to below.
